Dual Cooling System
The Meling Biomedical DW-HL780 features two independent refrigeration systems and two inverter compressors. If either compressor stops, the remaining independent system can maintain the freezer at approximately −80°C, providing backup cooling for stored samples.
Product Overview
The freezer provides 780 L (27.55 cu. ft.) of ultra-low temperature storage within an upright cabinet, with an adjustable temperature range of −40°C to −86°C. It combines microprocessor temperature control, a 10-inch HD LCD touchscreen, VIP insulation, temperature logging and multiple alarm functions. The cabinet measures 1,205 × 1,025 × 1,955 mm (W × D × H) and includes three stainless steel shelves and insulated inner doors.

Temperature Control and Refrigeration
The DW-HL780 uses a microprocessor controller and a 10-inch HD LCD touchscreen. Its two independent refrigeration systems use inverter compressors, direct cooling, manual defrosting and hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerant.
Manufacturer internal testing reports the following typical performance:
- Pull-down time to −80°C: 280 minutes, equivalent to 4 hours and 40 minutes
- Temperature recovery after a one-minute door opening: 40 minutes
- Daily energy consumption: 8.5 kWh per 24 hours
These figures are based on internal testing at a −80°C set point and a 25°C ambient temperature.
Temperature Logging and Monitoring
The built-in data logger records temperature every five minutes and stores up to 10 years of temperature data. A USB port supports data export.
An RS485 interface and remote alarm contact provide additional connection options. The freezer also includes a backup battery and three access ports, each 25 mm in diameter.
