DW-HL50 Ultra-Low Freezer

The Meling Biomedical DW-HL50 provides 50 L (1.77 cu. ft.) of ultra-low temperature storage within a compact undercounter cabinet. Its stainless-steel interior, one stainless-steel shelf and insulated inner doors support long-term storage of biological products.

The freezer combines a −40°C to −86°C temperature range, microprocessor temperature control, one compressor, temperature logging and multiple alarm functions. The cabinet measures 951 × 700 × 757 mm (W × D × H) and includes a safety lock, an ergonomic handle, a circuit breaker and four heavy-duty casters.

Temperature Control and Refrigeration

The DW-HL50 uses a microprocessor controller and digital display, with temperature readings displayed in 0.1°C increments. Its refrigeration system features direct cooling, manual defrosting, one compressor and hydrocarbon refrigerant.

Manufacturer internal testing reports the following typical performance:

- Pull-down time to −80°C: 1.63 hours
- Temperature recovery after a one-minute door opening: 0.24 hours, equivalent to 14.4 minutes

These figures are based on internal testing at a −80°C set point and a 25°C ambient temperature.

Temperature Logging and Monitoring

The built-in data logger records temperature every 10 minutes and stores up to 100,000 temperature records. A USB port supports data export.

An RS485 interface and remote alarm contact provide additional connection options. The freezer also includes a backup battery and one access port, 25 mm in diameter.
