The Meling Biomedical DW-FL90 provides 90 L (3.18 cu. ft.) of storage within a compact undercounter cabinet, with an operating temperature range of −20°C to −40°C. Three ABS drawers help organize stored contents, while microprocessor temperature control, a built-in data logger, and multiple alarm functions support temperature monitoring and recordkeeping.
The cabinet includes a foam-insulated door, safety lock, circuit breaker, and two casters with two levelling feet.

Temperature Control and Refrigeration
The DW-FL90 uses a microprocessor controller and digital display, with temperature readings displayed in 0.1°C increments. Its refrigeration system features direct cooling, manual defrosting, one compressor, and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant.
Manufacturer internal testing reports the following typical performance:
- Temperature uniformity: 1.5°C
- Pull-down time to −40°C: 1.13 hours
- Temperature recovery after a one-minute door opening: 0.3 hours, equivalent to 18 minutes
These figures are based on internal testing at a −40°C set point and a 22°C ambient temperature.
Temperature Logging and Monitoring
The built-in data logger records temperature every 10 minutes and stores up to 100,000 temperature records. A USB port supports data export.
An RS485 interface and remote alarm contact provide additional connection options. The freezer also includes a backup battery and one 23 mm-diameter access port.
