The Meling Biomedical DW-FL270 provides 270 L (9.53 cu. ft.) of frozen storage within an upright cabinet. Its −20°C to −40°C temperature range, microprocessor controller, temperature logging and multiple alarm functions support temperature-controlled storage in laboratory and biomedical environments.
Seven ABS drawers help organize stored materials. The cabinet measures 700 × 640 × 1,792 mm (W × D × H) and features a solid door, safety lock, circuit breaker, four casters and two levelling feet.

Temperature Control and Refrigeration
The DW-FL270 uses a microprocessor controller and digital display, with temperature readings displayed in 0.1°C increments. Its refrigeration system features direct cooling, manual defrosting, one compressor and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant.
Manufacturer internal testing reports the following typical performance:
- Temperature uniformity: 3.4°C
- Pull-down time to −40°C: 2.4 hours
- Temperature recovery after a one-minute door opening: 0.6 hours, equivalent to 36 minutes
These figures are based on internal testing at a −40°C set point and a 22°C ambient temperature.
Temperature Logging and Monitoring
The built-in data logger records temperature every 10 minutes and stores up to 100,000 temperature records. A USB port supports data export.
An RS485 interface and remote alarm contact provide additional connection options. The freezer also includes a backup battery and one 25 mm-diameter access port.
